Raining!

Oh it has been an appallingly long time! So I will get straight to business, if you become a long time reader of this Blog, you will find out that I (Leticia) have a lot of love for Christmas, and Gingerbread villages. But that is beside the point, although, here is the link to the "making of" video.
The point is, I felt bad for not updating the blog for a million years so I was looking through my iPhoto for inspiration. And I realised I really loved the outfit I was wearing on that boiling day. Now, I'm not one for dressing for summer but it seems that that was a good day.
I'm wearing my precious Revival high waist shorts, a vintage mid riff sailor top, and a Country Road short sleeve cardi. So, I will now show you some never before seen (hehe) footage of me making my sandwich that day.

Next: Bella and I have officially started rehearsals for this years school musical, Grease. I'm already thinking about costumes.

That is Patty, my character ♥

And in the middle is Marty, Bella's character ♥
I'll leave you with the amazing Sandy outfit at the end.

I have her pants in Navy Blue, American Apparel!

Ah, excitement.
Talk soon, Littleleaf x

Autumn - yeah.... just autumn

Hi kids!
I've been blog hunting. And here's what I've found:
Soo, if you didn't have enough reasons to visit London,

I mean... *ahem*, jeez.
Aaaaanyway. There is, in London, at the Victoria and Albert Museum there's a bit of a Grace Kelly exhibition going on till September.
If you're not up with Ms. Kelly, here are the facts. She was Princess of Monaco, an American actress, and was class-y.

So yeah, thought I'd share that with you all. Make you nice and jealous.
Except for those who live in London. Wew for you I guess...
Next. A bit of a Satorialist-to-be. Face Hunter.. Good Luck to him. He has a bit to learn from our fashion master.
And, lastly, another example of my salviging, this time from my next door neighbours garage sale.

Please excuse my cats marvellous timing. He's a poser.
Love Bella.

Autumn - cold toes

Why hello there!
Do I have much to show you! First of course, the news you probably haven't been waiting for, my dress (another...) This is the dress I spoke about on February 19th, made by a couple of our school friends, whose other works include Kiara's birthday dress.

The other 2 are some other dresses I have recently acquired, both from op-shops i might add. South Melbourne Op-Shop actually. Best. Op-Shop. Ever. I'm totally volunteering there just to get my mits on the stuff first.

Next. Something that caught my eye. And something to note to budding fashionista's, keep your little eye open. Figuring out what you love, and what suits you, is not only trial and error, but perception. Look at other people who you think look good and figure out why; hey! If you're bold, go up ad ask them where they got it, they'll be more than happy to show off their knowledge.
But, back on the topic, here's the stunner that caught my eye.

I just think it's stunning. The stand out red against the soft, feminine and light filled background. Notice her mesh-like, lace dotted shirt, and her simple and easy hair.
Now I am no fan of red lipstick, or red in general. It's just not my thing. But this is stunning.

In another look at things oh-so-cool. Mustangs. Ever since I saw The Princess Diaries when I was 8, I have dreamed of having a Mustang. They're like the car version of the retro bike.

Are they effortlessly cool. Yes.

And now. I mjust confess. On The holidays... I went to TASMANIA. Please oh please don't hold it against me. I worked it in your favour.
We all know that Melbourne is Australia's fashion capital. No contest. But, as I froze, I looked around and realised that this race of Tasmanians have totally got looking good in the cold thing totally sorted.
I was unable to get photo's of the two girls in particular I noticed on a river cruise in Strahan,(when it was about 10 degrees) but I will do my best to describe them with the help of Google images.
The first girl was in her early twenties. She wore a tweed jacket:

(Please excuse this womens shiny neck)
And a purple, blue and green paisley scarf with her jeans.

The second was probably about 6. She was gorgeous. She had strawberry blonde hair, with a pink ribbon at the end of a plait around her fore-head. The ribbon almost perfectly matched her dress, which she was also wearing under a tweed coat with small highlights of pink also.
She had little mary-janes and high pastel pink socks.

And yet, it wasn't a pink overload. Go little girl.

Meanwhile, I was a complete amateur in the field.

So congrats Tasmanians.

Love you always, Bella.

Autumn - Ah, The Bible. Rainy !

As Bella and I mentioned in our post from earlier today, there is a Bible. My (Leticia's) Bible.
I'm pretty proud of it today, but before my loving description goes on, I would just like to alert to the fact that there was a mistake in the last post.
It was not "today" that Bella and I went out to the fete, we had originally intended to post the post on the very same day except never got around to it, so that fete did in fact take place on the 20th of March, not the 6th of April.
Sorry to all of the lovely people we met that day who we ensured that if they kept checking the Blog it would be up "within a week or two".

Some more lovely photo's from the day:

But now, the moment you kids have all been waiting for; The Bible!
A few years ago now, my Mum had a subscription to Marie Claire magazine, and I got the magazines once she was finished with them. I had been saving 5 or 6 of them for a few years, until last week when I decided enough was enough. I then cut out all of my favourite pictures, colour co-ordinated them and stuck them in my Bible, an old Art Sketchbook. It's still a work in progress, but at the moment it consists of;
-a page dedicated to the beautiful Clemence Poesy
-a "white" section
-pages and pages of black and white photography
-my precious pages filled with pinks, reds, florals, peaches and cuteness
-the blue section, which serves for as a colour reference guide for some brilliant blues more so than clothes
-my plaid section, or the preppy school girl pages
-nature section, mountains, greens, linens, tree's, eco houses, magnificent dressing rooms and even fruit and veg
-the favourites; nautical themes, books, layering, Louis Vuitton and colour co-ordinated magazine covers

Featured in the photo's is me, wearing my lovely *ahem* school shirt. Yes, I have completed the annual try on of the Winter School Uniform. And, it did not go well. Hair must be up and lace-ups must be worn, oh well. Here is not the place to complain.

I do apologise for the lack of good photo's of the Bible, it's late and I'm lazy.

Students, here is my advice to you:
Maybe get a good nights rest, do some homework tomorrow. Of course whilst adopting the studious nerd look with some vintage frames and some form of plaid.

I'm off, for the second time today!
I vow not to slack off with the Blog again, never ever. Ever.

Will write soon, Leticia xxx
