Spring!

Finally, Spring!
But as I type this the weather man is saying "and it was 'brolleys up for the first day of Spring".
Disappointment! So I have the heater on full blast, my fingers are frozen and it got to a total of 14 degrees today.
No worries though, I except great Spring weather to come soon!

So, whats in for Spring?

...Florals.
I'm not putting in the '...' to say, "ew, florals are bad." I'm putting it in to say, "Pleeeeeeeeeeease. Can't we have something new for Spring?! Please?"

Here is Sportsgirls cheat sheet for dressing in Spring, belieeeeeve me, I'll be following their advice.

So this post got interrupted by me making a headscarf/tie/thing out of some Liberty fabric Mum bought online, its a craaaazy paisley pattern I'll be sure to post a picture of me wearing it soon.
I just discovered that it can also be used as a tie on a dress, pretty cuuuuute.

And this is what I call a good picture, and a good spring outfit.

Gosh writing this post has made me remember how much I love writing on this blog.
Be back soon, Love LL

Winter - and coldness ensues

I actually have those under whelming photos to show you, but that would involve me getting up, so sorry, still not today.

Instead I googled fashion. Here's what I found:

fashion net - the insiders guide to all things chic. With a rhyming ad and everything!! It's exciting whilst being utter rubbish.
I don't know, I shouldn't make judgements. But from first glance, looks like an embarrassment to the first thing that comes up under fashion. It's like: 'really? really google?' and then I tut.
The second was to FASHION magazine which wants to tell you how to 'get sporty', about 'safety first' and their 'September most wanted beauty'... whatever that means.
The third was to the ever trusty Wikipedia, where you can get a much quicker definition of what we spend so much time trying to capture.

Images was slightly more ... interesting.

Were the first three.

Today I am also having an Elvis day. Which equals his inclusion in this post. (I searched 'elvis fashion' for this one)

This is is so totally my favourite.

Also, I had another thing I wanted to work in to here. I guess we'll never know. Unless I remember and make a post about it.

Un. Likely.

Hopefully some more fashion-full posts from me will come your way soon. It'd make a nice change from zero content or apologies.

Winter - Days off

Today we spent a day in the city enjoying our mid-term break. We tried to take photos of well dressed people, but Melbourne disappointed us today.
Alas, we had to go and try on millions of outfits and take photos.

"Can you see me? Can you see my outfit?"

The man behind was cuute with his suit and walking stick. And um, note the frog in his briefcase. He may have maybe made up for all the disappointment we felt about Melbourne.

Tish trying on some ridiculously high heels. Which were the same colour as her hair. No biggie.

As if Myer could be better - but apparently, it will be!

Um, possible ballroom dress? Oh how I wish. $200. But on a side-note - The Basement, guys, oh gosh go there for dresses..

We spent a ridiculous amount of time in The Basement. It's brilliant down there. I was telling Tish in the musical I would write about myself, there would be a number to the tune of 'Food Glorious Food', mine: 'Dresses Glorious, Dresses'

And check out who looks good in khaki in this hideous photo.

To all the Greasers out there - we've found a Rydell High cardigan. Again, no effing biggie.

And um, cheerleader much?
Oh, and it's 10 days guys, 10 days.

More coming later,
love Bella and Leticia
P.S Joint post, yay!

Winter - Heels glorious heels

Winter - Emma Watson - and its a bloody freezing winter day, just incase anyone was wondering.

Yesterday, I declared my love for Emma Watson on Facebook, which got me thinking I should do a post about her.

These first two pictures are taken at the Glastonbury Musical Festival, which she recently attended with her fellow Burberry model and boyfriend, George Craig. His band was playing at the festival. I love that Emma had trillllllions of millions of dollars to her name, but when she wants to, she just looks like 'some girl'. Of course she's still gorgeous, which does leave her looking a little extraordinary nonetheless.
This photo was taken at her tour of the Harry Potter theme park, recently opened in Orlando, Florida.

So yeah, while I could have done a post about all of her premiere looks - that while gorgeous, are not practical for the readers of this blog. I thought I'd show more of her still lovely, but more practical achievable looks.

Last but not least the video she shot with her boyfriends band. Her outfit is adorable, and the video is shot in New York. So yeah, thats great too.

Some links related to Emma.
Vogue shows how to get Emma's Glastonbury look
and Teen Vogue shows Emma's fashion timeline.

Bella and I will hopefully be taking photo's of Melbourne's city goers this Monday. So have something to look forward to xxxxxxx LL

Winter - and cold... yeah.

I'm not being stupid, it actually is bloody freezing today. I'm glad I had my tights on.

So. I should make a post today. So that's what I'm going to do, just warning you now though - bit of a *DISCLAIMER* if you will - I have zilch to write about.
Which is one of the problems Tish and I have when it comes to this "frequent blogging" business. It's all well and good until you get to the keyboard.

Any body got some fashion-y news?
No... *insert popular 'awkward' gesture here*.

All my topics I save up for rainy days like this one involve me getting photos from a camera whose cord is M.I.A. Which is aggravating for us both dearies.

Whilst I'm scraping the barrel here, I'll say hi to Jordan for always being excited when Tish or I talk about the blog, despite his gender. We love ya' buddy.

Yeah, and there are some photos I'm looking for on Facebook too, but I can't find them.

We could talk about Blog Friday - or the lack-there-of (am I using that in the right context? I've never said lack-there-of before. I think it went pretty well) but perhaps that's an uneasy topic.
If it makes you feel any better I haven't gone anywhere near a fashion blog in weeks. I've been too absorbed in Doctor Who and my best friend - YouTube

Links are fun.
Love, Bella xx

PS I'll find some more interesting topics soon enough.

Winter - Fashion in France

So, this - like most things on this blog lately - has been a long time in the running (which reminds me, I am in debt of a couple of Blog Fridays......)
Anyway, awhile ago I was weird and told Ms. Tali Zevi that I wanted to feature some of her photos from France here. Because they're stunning.

Um. Blazers with shiny... awesome... baubles on the collar? Yeah, I know it's cool, you don't have to explain it to me.

Oh, and to anybody who doesn't know them, I'm going to further embarrass Lilly and Louisa, who look quite the bit stunning in their photos too.

And the piste de resistance:
I mean it looks like something off a fashion magazine.
These photos are old news and much loved withing the Presentation facebook community, and there's no damn wonder! Tali, we are forever in your fashionable debt.
Gosh.

Also. I went to an old friends birthday party the other week - where there were many the gorgeous girl, I'm still looking for photos - and met Marina who is currently partaking in this awesome Miss Shop contest celebrating it's birthday or something. Any who, vote for them like I did if you think they look stunning and deserve to win a $25,000 Myer shopping spree, 2 VIP tickets to a Fashion Festival show and a Flip Mino II HD camcorder. And no, you can't get out of voting just because you're jealous.

Love you, B xx

Winter - I want summer

Theres a sentence I never thought I'd say.

But I cannot wait till the time of the year when I wake up and get dressed without shivering. I cannot wait to wear shorts and blouses. I cannot wait to attempt to get great beach hair, I cannot wait for Christmas. I cannot wait to buy new sandals. I cannot wait to eat ice cubes whilst complaining about the heat.

I also want the perfect summer wedges. These are pretty good.

Not perfect, but I feel as though I'm on the right track.
Xxx LL

Winter (still)

I've always admired them, and wished I knew how to make them - or where to buy them. It was a long lost love until a few days ago; the turban headscarf/band.

Now, all of these are good examples of what I love. The problem is I just don't know where to get them.
I like to think that genius struck the other day when tying a headscarf. Miraculously, I tied a turban headscarf. I'm not going to pretend that I am a pro at it, or that my headscarfs look half as good as these ones, but I was pretty proud so I thought I'd share.

First I started with a square scarf, which I folded so it was just like a long one, so I guess you could use one of those too :)
Then I tied the scarf in the middle of my head, front and centre.
Next step was to twist the scarf the opposite way from the knot, so that the knot/tie/bulge thing at the front is bigger.
Next, tie a knot at the nape of your neck and tuck it away if you wish and you are ready to go.
Hope you enjoy, Tish xxx

Winter - I notice things.

So, because of this blog - and any of my close friends will know this - I notice so much about clothes.
I've always been one of those people who are really observant, but it's sky rocketed since December. And hey, it's an art ok.
A couple of days ago, I was at Flinders, catching the train to Hampton (hi Romany)and was lucky enough to come across two unlikely, fabulous people.

The first, was this woman in her twenties wearing one of those Russian-y hats, a messy knit vest, knee high boots and the most beautiful fitting jeans ever.
The other was a grandmother I'd never be embarrassed to call my own. Unless she was Ballroom Brenda (ballroom kids unite) Any who. Apparently not all teenagers feel this way, which may be half the reason we started this blog. She was wearing - now I quote my phone, where I took these notes down - a fur coat 'you could sleep' in, red lipstick, a polka dot scarf that looked 'exotic as', red boots and a felt bowler hat.
I had to stop staring because her grand kids were getting embarrassed.

Love you B.

Winter - Brit's Birthday

Okay, so. Eh. I'm sorry!
I haven't posted in soooo long. Grease is nearing so lines are being a'learned and blogs are being neglected...
I shall make up for it, hopefully!

Gosh I sound so sure of myself. So, B's 16th. Great night!
We had a seven course French dinner, need I say more? Yes, I think so.
That was brilliant, but so was how all of us girls were dressed.

Claudia and I beforehand. I was very happy to lend Claude some of my clothes, and even happier when realising how well co-ordinated our outfits were.
On the left: the birthday girl, Britt looked like a princess in a Friends of Couture dress. Sunday looked gorgeous in a dress from Savers, 15 dollars if I'm correct. Good buy. I wore Suzanne's (step mum) dress. Boy of boy I love it, but I would never wear it outside. It was fine to go from my house, to the car, to Britt's house but anything more would have been a bit risque.

A better, but still not great photo of the dress.
Hedwig on the left looked faaaaabulous, very co-ordinated colours and gloves that made her look very chic. Greta's (right) outfit was set off by her great pale pink tights - which I failed to get a photo of. Well done Tish.
A close up of Greta's headband, notice it matches the flowers on her dress purrrrfectly.

Well, I know its been forever. But a post with photos, thats exciting!
I'm going to be trying harder now, xxxx L
