Autumn: actually, feels more like winter

As you might have been able to tell from the title of the post, it isn't the warmest weather. Which has got me thinking, boots!
Gosh I love boots, I really do.

As does Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan, How I Met Your Mother):
Yes, that is indeed her lying in a giant pile of boots!

Well, its two hours since I began writing this post, I've been looking at boots. Ah, boots!

For starters, these are just the most adorable things in the world.

And I love nothing more than when you want to buy something and all of the colours are so amazing you just don't know what to get.

I think I'm in favour of the blue? Yeah.

Biker Boots

I can imagine these being really hard to wear well, but I think paired with the Sportsgirl "Skater Dress" that Bella posted about a few days ago they would be perfection. I'm hoping to purchase a slightly different, more affordable pair of Biker Boots soon. From Rubi Shoes.

You can view more about these views and see the entire Rubi Connection, here.

Look forward to seeing a picture of my current pair of boots soon, they were a great Op Shop find. $7.99 at Savers!

Autumn - goosebumps and shivers

Hello one and all.
Welcome to the day of week I like to call "let's-check-on-blogs-friday" (ANY suggestion for a new name will be considered in the comments) Pretty much, I crack open my 'blogs' folder, in which i have been busy filling, and see what the most admirable in our society had to offer this week.
I start with The Satorialist, who this week offered this up from his trip to Tokyo, and Sydney on the way home;

Simply because there's no where else to start from.

Garance Dore
The girlfriend of our most beloved Scott Schuman; The Satorialist. She is French, but this is her blog which she writes in English. At first I was like; "pfft who needs words?!?" but holy guacamole am i glad she does write the things on her page, ah the things.
She has recently been to Australia for westfield, which was nice, and has been talking up our country nice and proper since.
i will now stop tainting her link with these silly words.

He is the only dog I know that wears a bow tie.

I ended up going with Cisco ... because we felt that connection in seconds, and also because… I just love her hair.

SEA OF SHOES

This is another TOTAL cutie. Ok, so I may have been won over by all the cats she featured for the first like, 20 of her photos.

They're from a cat cafe she visited whilst she was in Tokyo.
The idea of a 'cat cafe' sounded pretty freaky and maybe even a little perverted to me at first. Now that I've experienced a cat cafe for myself, I can honestly say that I totally get it. It was so relaxing to watch these magnificent cats nap and frolic. ..and if you were a regular customer I'm sure you'd become very attached to the staff.

The Style Rookie

Ok, she's amazingly well known for a 13-year-old. I read in the paper the other day she was one of the bloggers (along with Garance Dore and Scott Schuman) who a-grade photographers were getting fairly pissed off with for nabbing their front row seats at various high class fashion shows.
What evs.
What really caught my eye were a whole bunch of photos she took of pages from Sassy magazine, sent in by a follower.
I must admit I've umm *cough* never heard of them, but oh lord how i will be taking note. i mean, its a nineties magazine, but anything from one of my fave decades is a lot spesh in my books.

The last is a photo from her inspiration folder and i la-aaave it.

The Selby

From what i can gather, he's a really cool guy who goes around taking photos of people in their houses or 'environments'
This next one's my favourite. It's of Sean Macpherson, hotelier
at his home in New York. My house will one day have a swing also.

This is Naive
To be totally honest, the one, and so far; the only thing that's grabbed me about this blog, is it's headpiece (if you will) It's so incredibly cute, that I keep coming back every friday, hoping one of their posts will live up to my high expectations.

teenagers are from mars
This is done by a friend of mine i met last year at my french class.
This is Charlotte:

she doesn't much write of fashion, but is known to include the occasional brill photo. such as this one, with just "models with attitude", featuring Agness Dean, whom i must admit I'm NOT *gasp* fond of, but thrills me here.

So I hope my little enlitenment has been inspiring darlings, especially after I had re-order most of my photos after looking at the preview; note to self: they always come out backwards. Urgh, so much copy and pasting makes me crave pumpkin soup.
Ta-ta!
Bella

Autumn - the weather? yeah I didn't leave the house hun.

Hello to all our well dressed kids. (there's what, 10 of you now?)
I'm sick, ad have been home for the past one and a bit days. I'm not going to lie, the DAT testing set it off.

Sooo, we're getting to the serious end of figuring out the whats what for your winter wardrobes.
Or is that just me?

*Ahem* Never-the-less, I do believe I'll take this oppurtunity to discuss some of my current wants to the sweet sounds of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Stockings. Patterned stockings, coloured stockings. And at the moment I have none.
I'm not going to lie, Leticia is my stocking inspiration. I do not doubt I will get her to do a post on them soon.

The last two are from Sportsgirl, $14.99.

Gloves. Good leather ones. Mon Dieu! I have been searching for what feels like my lifetime. 15 years and 8 months seems like reasonable time for the powers-that-be to magic up some to-die-for gloves to me.

Long sleeved dresses. Yeah yeah, more dresses. What ever.
Sportsgirl has a couple of excellent specimens.

And I'm sorry, I had to include the one with the model. I just a-dore Sportsgirl shoots!!!
This is the Floral Skater Dress, for $89.95. I think it's looooooovely. Sportsgirls got a couple of these 'skater dresses', which, by the way, is a perfect description, and yes, i did watch the figure skating during the winter olympics....... ahem, so.
Point being, check them out. Because I know I always avoid the top-under-dress look, and i'm a kid who gets cold, so it's not an easy accomplishment.
They're awesome, if I haven't mentioned that enough?

Cute jumpers. I foresee a huge appearence of jumpers. They're cute. I might be biast, so what? But really, they're cardi's that you don't have to do up. They mess up your hair a little, and are generally harder to get on and off, but they're cuuuuuute.
I recently saw a very excellent deep purple and white polka-dotted one when I ventured to Myer's Basement recently.
Also, Sportsgirls got 'em (yes, I have beee on their website this all afternoon, blame my illness)

The last is part of they're Recylce-It thing. I am deeessperate for a jumper in this pattern, whatever it is. If anyone knows, pleeease let me know, it'll help me narrow down my search.

Bowler Hats Jenny Humphrey, season one. You know what I'm talking about.
And, if you're not already looking forlornly at the picture below, I'll remind you anyway.

Colour-wise? I want something peach.

Haha, LOL jk (who else is getting the tiniest bit sick of those filling up our news feeds?) I mean the colour, but Google offered this, and I think it's sweet. Haha, I'm a funny kid.
Also, I want something in olive / khaki. Ok more truthfull? I want to LOOK GOOD in olive / khaki. Oh those girls who are blessed.

Like these kids. Damn them! Arrrrr!

Well, I do believe that's an afternoon well spent driving my computer mad, with my incessant window-opening. Just a fore-warning, I've probably forgotten AT LEAST half a dozen things I want, but haven't shared, so expect another post soon.
I'm off to rest up these vocal chords.
Night,
Bella M.

Autumn

Hello kids.
Everybody, meet Clemence.

She may look like a world class model you've somehow never heard of, but never fear. Clemence is a student at our school in year 10. It's girls like her that make my secret dream of being the most glamourous model that ever was, feel so much more distant. Which is lovely.
But that's not the point. Well, her being gorgeous is kind of the point, but what I love most about our dear Clemence is that all, and I repeat ALL her clothes are market or op-shop bought. And she looks fabulous, all the time.
She is proof that my otherwise pointless harping on about the wonder of second hand stuff is a little less pointless.

Speaking of markets, that's where I was on Saturday. And I swear girls and boys, fashion stalks Leticia and I. There was a fashion show.

I mean, it was a fairly B-grade show, (a bit like my photos, sorry...) but they then announced that there was 10% off everything, so I was happy to be honest and bought the cutest pea green jumper, with a cheee-sy Eiffel Tower. But cute, It's definatly cute.

That's all folks,
Bella M.

Raining!

Oh it has been an appallingly long time! So I will get straight to business, if you become a long time reader of this Blog, you will find out that I (Leticia) have a lot of love for Christmas, and Gingerbread villages. But that is beside the point, although, here is the link to the "making of" video.
The point is, I felt bad for not updating the blog for a million years so I was looking through my iPhoto for inspiration. And I realised I really loved the outfit I was wearing on that boiling day. Now, I'm not one for dressing for summer but it seems that that was a good day.
I'm wearing my precious Revival high waist shorts, a vintage mid riff sailor top, and a Country Road short sleeve cardi. So, I will now show you some never before seen (hehe) footage of me making my sandwich that day.

Next: Bella and I have officially started rehearsals for this years school musical, Grease. I'm already thinking about costumes.

That is Patty, my character ♥

And in the middle is Marty, Bella's character ♥
I'll leave you with the amazing Sandy outfit at the end.

I have her pants in Navy Blue, American Apparel!

Ah, excitement.
Talk soon, Littleleaf x
